Kensington Conference and Event Centre

Kensington Conference and Events Centre is one of the largest venues in central London, playing host to a range of meetings, conferences, dinners, filming and TV productions, exhibitions corporate events and many more.

Designed by architect Sir Basil Spence and opened in 1977, it is a highly adaptable, purpose-designed events venue offering practical conference, exhibition, banqueting and management facilities, covering a range of event spaces. The venue is fully accessible for guests with mobility difficulties and has an on-site 24-hour underground car park with a capacity for up to 460 vehicles.

Situated in the heart of Kensington just a two-minute walk from High Street Kensington Underground Station, the venue is very well served by local public transport links and London’s airports are easily accessible. Within easy reach of some of London’s most exclusive areas, including Knightsbridge, home to the world-famous Harrods and Harvey Nichols department stores, and the fashionable Notting Hill and Portobello Market, well known for its antique shops and galleries. Hotels are plentiful, so finding accommodation to suit your budget and taste is easy. The location is spoiled for choice with restaurants, cafes and shops. Great Hall

The Great Hall can comfortably accommodate up to 828 delegates for a conference, it has two large foyer areas for registration and refreshments; a number of breakout rooms and a purpose built servery point. The Hall is soundproofed and is able to host a wide range of conferences, exhibitions, AGMs, corporate and private events.

The Great Hall comes fully equipped with audio visual aids, stage lighting and Wi-Fi, in addition to fixed staging and professional back stage facilities that includes male and female changing rooms, WC’s and a Green Room.

Small Hall

The Small Hall is a self-contained facility with its own entrance, hosting events of up to 170 delegate’s theatre style. It has a fixed stage, is soundproofed and comes fully equipped with a public address system, audio visual aids and complimentary Wi-Fi. The Small Hall has access to a foyer area for refreshments and registration and like the Great Hall is accompanied by a servery and kitchen facilities.

Council Chamber

The Council Chamber is an impressive conference facility which boasts 70 opulent leather topped councillor’s desks each with individually controlled microphones and a similarly equipped press gallery. The Public Gallery can seat 54 and a further 51 chairs can be added if necessary to make a maximum delegate configuration for 175. The Council Chamber can be used for conferences, lectures and has also been used for filming and television live broadcasts.

Committee Rooms

For smaller boardroom meetings or events that require breakout rooms, we are able to offer you a suite of five meeting rooms. The Committee Rooms are fully equipped for data projection with blackout facilities, an independent sound support system, Wi-Fi internet access and a fully remote controlled ambient lighting system.
