Home comforts with a healthy dose of Irish flavour are key at Homeboy, delicious drinks are served alongside playful home-cooked food to a soundtrack of hip-hop and RnB. With a focus on celebrating Irish producers, the cocktail menu is composed of three pillars: Irish Whiskey, where the drinks showcase the versatility that once saw Irish Whiskey as the top-selling spirit in the world; Contemporary, utilizing modern techniques to create unashamedly delicious drinks; and Classics, paying homage to some of the modern classic cocktails of our time. In addition, Irish beers and of course, Draught Guinness is also served.

We want to see Modern Irish Hospitality recognised as a style of service that sees its focuses less on servitude and more on personality and pride in looking after people. Hospitality is at the heart of Irish culture. Hundreds of years ago there were a set of civil laws which governed everyday life in Ireland. Hospitality was a big part of this. If someone sought hospitality they had to be offered 4 key actions, a warm meal, drink, entertainment and a warm bed, the only payment the home could take for this were stories of the guest’s journey. We want to live up to that great culture embedded in the Irish psyche. And that doesn’t mean our staff have to be Irish to do this as it is about giving our staff the tools to deliver great hospitality and showcase their personality.

Established December 6th 2018 by Dublin born and raised Aaron Wall. Aaron with a background at the helm of award-winning bars and cocktail bars in Paris, Dublin and London, such as London Cocktail Club and Callooh Callay. Aaron brings his passion for hospitality great guest experience and great product together to deliver a bar that embodies what Modern Irish Hospitality is all about. A local bar with an international reach. Since opening, Homeboy Bar has been critically acclaimed and most importantly become a hub within Islington.

Homeboy Islington is a cosy intimate space with bags of character from the rows of bottles on the back bar to the exposed brick dotted with art. Warm wood, green leather banquettes, and parquet bar counter all to a soundtrack of hip hop and RnB.

The venue has a maximum capacity of 120 guests, but we welcome private hire bookings of any size.
