For almost 100 years, BMA House has sat in the heart of London. Designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens – arguably the greatest British architect of the twentieth century – and opened by King George V, our remarkable, Grade II listed building makes today’s special occasions all the more spectacular. Whether it’s a conference, social event or wedding, we have a true history of hospitality and focus on sustainability.

With period features and state-of-the-art AV facilities, our central London venue provides an enticing mix of history and technical excellence that never fails to impress organisers and delegates alike. With 22 rooms to choose from, you’re sure to find the right one for your event.

Step inside, and you’ll find yourself in a space tailor-made for conferences in London. With capacities ranging from 10 all the way up to 320 delegates, the venue is fully flexible; whether you’re looking to host a large-scale event or an intimate roundtable affair, you’ll be able to select a space that complements the occasion.
Here at BMA House, we believe that a conference venue is more than just four walls and some token seating. That’s why we’ve equipped each of our rooms with the very best AV technology, and why we take pride in our hospitality packages. Hybrid event, guest speaker, virtual networking, seated dinner, dazzling drinks reception – whatever your brief, BMA House is a perfect setting for city corporate events.

Our London conference spaces
From Art Deco features to outdoor access, each of our rooms has been designed to ensure your conference runs smoothly from start to finish.
Great Hall
The Great Hall is our flagship room; purpose-built for conferences with full audio-visual equipment and new hybrid facilities, an abundance of natural light, and retractable theatre-style seating. Make no mistake, though – high-tech does not mean cold and featureless. On the contrary, the Great Hall combines state-of-the-art facilities with original, period features designed by Sir Edward Lutyens in 1911: Corinthian columns, gold-leaf, 28-foot-high ceilings and large windows ensure the space is every bit as majestic as it is functional.
As well as being one of the most impressive and beautiful rooms in BMA House, the Great Hall is also a superbly practical space with state-of-the-art AV equipment and facilities. Huge, Corinthian columns, gold-leaf detailing and 28-foot-high ceilings create a majestic impression on its guests and large windows fill the room with an abundance of natural light. Retractable, theatre-style seating offers flexibility for organisers who need to use the space for more than one purpose.
The Great Hall can host up to 294 guests in its theatre-style layout, 160 with cabaret tables and 320 for reception drinks. It’s vantage point overlooking the Courtyard not only provides fabulous views, but also a unique backdrop for photographs.
Paget room
The Paget room is a hidden gem – a beautiful conference room, complete with outdoor access to the Courtyard, tucked away in the heart of London. Original Spanish mahogany panelling and feature tiling provide an in-built talking point, whilst powerful A/V facilities guarantee no compromises on amenities for smaller conferences. The Paget room may be used alone or in conjunction with other spaces at BMA House for larger events.
Situated on the ground floor with direct access to BMA House’s beautiful Courtyard, the Paget room is a space full of character and boasts an array of the latest AV equipment. Showcasing some of the original Spanish mahogany panelling and tiles from the association’s previous residence on The Strand, the Paget room is an impressive location for meetings, presentations and conferences. Sitting just across the hall from the similarly-sized Snow room (and with a handy space for registration and cloakroom in between), the Paget room can be booked alone or in conjunction with other spaces if needs be.
The space can host 156 delegates in a theatre style, 80 in a cabaret set-up and 160 for reception drinks.
Snow room
Similar in size to the Paget room, the Snow room also has direct access to the Courtyard and is designed to inspire creativity with its light, bright atmosphere. Like all of our spaces, the Snow room boasts high-spec A/V equipment in addition to a removable stage, making it an ideal conference venue near Euston for those all-important travel links.
With direct access to The Courtyard, stunning Lutyens windows and a 15-foot-high ceiling, the Snow room is a beautiful space which inspires creativity. The light, bright, spacious room is often booked for conferences, meetings and entertaining and works well in conjunction with its similarly-sized neighbour, the Paget room. As well as its aesthetic charms the Snow room also boasts a comprehensive range of high-end AV equipment, including a high-spec data projector, in-built lighting and PA systems and an induction loop. There is also a space outside the room for a registration area and cloakroom.
The Snow room can accommodate 105 delegates in a theatre-style layout (with a removable stage), 64 when seated in a cabaret set-up and 160 for a drinks reception.
Courtyard
The Courtyard at BMA House is located at the heart of the venue, accessible via wrought iron gates. The fountain centrepiece creates an air of tranquillity away from the central London buzz, whilst benefiting from the travel links and convenience of our Bloomsbury location.
Our beautiful Courtyard offers organisers a stylish and somewhat regal setting in which to hold summer parties, post-conference drinks and receptions for events held in other indoor spaces within BMA House. Nestled in the heart of our historic London venue, the Courtyard is accessed through a set of beautiful, wrought iron gates and boasts a stunning fountain in its centre. Such a large outdoor space is a rare find in central London, particularly one with access to equally impressive inside rooms.
The Courtyard can host up to 320 guests and is usually hired in conjunction with either the Great Hall or the Lutyens Suite – both of which have their own personality and charms.
Garden room
With botanic-themed artwork, a double-height ceiling and large windows, the Garden room benefits from natural light and direct access to the Garden (as the name might suggest), which all give the room a design that brings the outdoors, in. There is also a fixed bar, space for live music and capacity for up to 90.
As its name might suggest, the Garden Room leads directly onto one of our beautifully-tended outdoor areas. Botanic-themed artwork and huge windows help bring a feel of the natural world inside to one of our most contemporary spaces. Its double-height ceiling, simple layout and colour scheme allows guests to enjoy the natural light and flora during drinks receptions, buffets and parties.
The Garden Room has a fixed bar – a fabulous asset at any event – and can host up to 90 guests for standing catering or drinks-only functions. There are several spots within the room in which live music can be set up and the mezzanine gives photographers a great vantage point for your event pictures.
The Garden
The Garden is one of the city’s hidden gems. It’s a tranquil space that boasts the convenience of our central London location without the hustle and bustle of the city: an ideal spot for a corporate summer party venue in London. Each of the shrubs, plants and flowers in the Garden have been carefully chosen for their medicinal qualities, and a pond in the centre of the garden provides a beautiful backdrop for any event – especially when the sun goes down.
Nestled alongside the oldest buildings within BMA House, the Garden is a tranquil space bursting with botanical delights. The flowers, shrubs and plants which comprise our most dynamic space have all been carefully chosen because of their medicinal qualities and create a fascinating talking point for guests and a beautiful backdrop for photographs. Our pond, which takes centre stage in the Garden, is full of life and takes on an almost magical quality when illuminated with lanterns in the early evening half-light.
Prince’s room
For a sense of occasion and luxury, there is no better choice than the Prince’s room for a corporate event in London. The marble-floored foyer provides an impressive welcome for pre-event drinks and the room itself is adorned with gold-leaf detailing. Corinthian columns, large mirrors and windows create a bright, luxurious space and intricate details make this historic corporate party venue one of London’s finest.
With its intricate detailing, domed ceiling and huge mirrors, the Prince’s Room is one of our London venue’s most beautiful spaces. The Corinthian columns and gold-leaf reliefs which adorn the walls give events a sense of occasion, and the soft blues and yellows of the décor create a calm and welcoming atmosphere. Huge windows and mirrors create a light, bright space, an ideal setting for event photography. Perfect for parties and dinners, the room booking comes with access to an impressive, marble-floored foyer which works well for pre-event drinks and canapés.
The Prince’s Room can host up to 54 for a seated dinner, 90 for a drinks reception and comes with state-of-the-art AV facilities.
Hospitality and catering with a difference
We’re firm believers that people work their best when well-fuelled. Our award-winning catering partners, Company of Cooks, agree – that’s why their experienced chefs use only the very best seasonal produce, and, when it comes to sustainable sourcing, hold all their suppliers to rigorously high standards.
Our hospitality menus fuse premium-quality ingredients with nutritional know-how: taste, innovation, and delegate wellbeing are at the heart of each dish (right down to our smallest canapé). We also offer inclusive options for all dietary and lifestyle requirements. From post-conference snacks to sumptuous three-course meals, fresh breakfasts to street food stations, our catering packages are as varied as they are delicious; whatever the nature of your conference, you can be sure that the food and drink will be talking points for all the right reasons.

Technology
Our clients tell us they initially booked BMA House because of its history and architecture, but what makes them come back time and time again is the quality of the AV facilities and the expertise of our support team. With all technicalities taken care of, planners can spend their time focusing on their guests, just as it should be.
BMA House may be full of history but our AV facilities, equipment and support are state-of-the-art. Specifics for each of our spaces vary, but throughout the venue organisers can expect in-built PA systems, video conferencing, data projectors, LED screens, Smart boards and mics. Our Council chamber is one of our most impressive rooms in terms of AV with individual push mics, laptop connectivity and voting panel for each of its 97 seats.
As a leading London hybrid venue, our expert technicians have created a range of hybrid and digital event packages, which enable your event to expand beyond the room and allows delegates who cannot attend in person to still interact with your brand, and feel involved. Furthermore, our flagship space, the Great Hall, has been kitted out with its very own impressive Hybrid Virtual Studio. A bespoke, custom-build to fit the Great Hall, the Studio is one of its kind.
Full-day hire of any of our larger spaces comes with a dedicated technician who will take care of all of your AV needs, leaving you to concentrate on your guests. As well as all the in-built facilities we also have a range of equipment organisers can hire, should you need to.
