Built in 1826 Asylum Chapel, also known locally as Caroline Gardens Chapel, has become one of London’s most popular wedding venues. The crumbling paintwork, stained glass windows and stunning light make this special venue truly unique. Asylum Chapel is now one of Peckham’s most-loved flexible spaces and regularly hosts weddings, events, exhibitions and photo and film shoots.
Once forgotten and unloved, Asylum Chapel has been repurposed by Maverick Projects and given a new lease of life. Artists Jo Dennis and Dido Hallett, founders of Maverick Projects, took on Asylum Chapel in 2010 to enable the unusual space to thrive once again.
The Chapel is now an incredibly popular wedding venue with its unusual character and rustic atmosphere making it the perfect space for those who want something a little different. The space can seat up to 120 guests and is there for you to make it your own.
